Travelling from the M6 or Newcastle-Under-Lyme
After you pass Whitmore Hall (not to be confused with our Village Hall) and the Mainwaring Arms pub on the A53 (in the 40mph limit), you travel up the hill passing into a derestricted zone. After the bend on top of the hill you will pass into a 30mph zone and take a sharp left hand bend. As you travel down the slope, approximately 60 metres after the sharp bend, you will see the signpost to Whitmore Village Hall on the left, down a small narrow access road. If you pass the Sheet Anchor pub you have gone too far!
Travelling from Loggerheads/Market Drayton/Shropshire/Cheshire
At the Swan With Two Necks restaurant on the A51, where the A51 and A53 cross, take the A53 towards Newcastle-Under-Lyme and the M6. Follow the A53 for one mile into the village of Baldwins Gate. Pass over the railway line and past the Sheet Anchor pub on the left hand side. As you start to climb the hill towards the bend, the signpost for Whitmore Village Hall will be seen on the right hand side, down a small narrow access road immediately after Appleton Drive.
